Industrial Firefighter Training

Hands-on Instruction, Real-world Conditions & Proven Results

Every program at RTFC is custom-built to your facility’s specific hazards and compliance requirements — delivered by the only organization to receive the Texas Mutual Insurance Company’s Safety Excellence Award for 16 consecutive years. This is not classroom theory. From live-fire evolutions to complex rescue scenarios, trainees are immersed in the heat, stress, and realism that develop the technical skill and decision-making required when failure is not an option.

Industrial Firefighting & Emergency Training Classes

RTFC delivers elite, hands-on training across the full spectrum of industrial emergency response. Every program is designed to simulate real-world conditions and build decision-making under pressure.

RTFC Training Academy Facility

Set across nine purpose-built acres in Corpus Christi, the RTFC Training Academy is engineered to replicate the most demanding real-world industrial environments — where every structure, system, and scenario is designed to bridge the gap between training and the field.

Built to Match Industrial Scale

The academy operates at true industrial scale, with infrastructure purpose-built to match the complexity of modern petrochemical and energy operations.

  • 250,000-gallon water supply delivering up to 10,000 GPM with fully integrated hydrant, sprinkler, and foam suppression systems
  • Dedicated kerosene and LPG fuel systems powering 22+ live-fire props
  • Four-story burn building and high-angle rescue towers up to 45′
  • Environmentally responsible 275,000-gallon wastewater treatment system
  • Classrooms accommodating up to 100 trainees, full on-site medical clinic, and rehab facilities

Advanced Training Simulators

Purpose-built simulators, with real risks. Exactly what your team will face.

  • Pump Alley: Fire approach, valve isolation, and coordinated suppression across simultaneous LPG fires.
  • Truck Terminal: Large-volume dry chemical and hydrochemical attacks for high-risk loading and transfer incidents.
  • Multi-Story Structure: Search and rescue, ventilation, standpipe operations, and forcible entry under live fire.
  • High Angle & Confined Space: 29 CFR 1910.146-compliant training using industrial props — plus exclusive access to the USS Lexington.
  • LNG: Containment, control, and extinguishment training for high-consequence LNG events.
